Service Description
Hypnobirthing: The Mongan Method is a childbirth preparation approach designed to help you feel calm, confident, and empowered during labor and delivery. The Mongan Method is built on the philosophy that childbirth is a natural and normal process—one that doesn't have to be accompanied by fear or unnecessary discomfort. Through this method, you’ll learn techniques that help you relax, reduce anxiety, and create a more positive birthing experience. These include deep relaxation, visualization, self-hypnosis, and effective breathing exercises. The key idea behind Hypnobirthing is that fear and tension can increase the pain often associated with childbirth. By learning to stay calm and relaxed, your body is better able to work naturally, releasing hormones like oxytocin and endorphins that can reduce discomfort and facilitate the process. In my classes, we’ll also explore the physiological aspects of childbirth, so you’ll understand what your body is doing every step of the way. You’ll gain practical tools like guided meditations, affirmations, and breathing techniques to use during labor. Your birth partner will be actively involved too, learning how to support you in meaningful ways. The Mongan Method prepares you for a gentle, natural birth environment whenever possible but also equips you to navigate unexpected situations with confidence. Whether you’re planning a hospital birth, a home birth, or something in between, these techniques can make a real difference in how you experience this special time.
